Whats trance music?
Maybe it will go in the right direction someday soon, without all this electronic bullshit and back to the roots...

but i guess thats too boring, we need some superstar that stands behind some table and press buttons on machines!

what about a 10 band orchestra with big drums and all sorts of instruments that dont need any power but our own... yeah, that would be something... but im not sure i will see this happen soon...

so this is probably not where its heading... but maybe its heading to a place where you need bigger and bigger diesel generators! bigger and bigger speakers, more and more synthetic drugs and a lot of mumbo jumbo on how spiritual everybody is...

Haha... Not saying that electricity is bad, there are lots of ways to generate it...

wow wouldn't that be cool Freeflow, if someone took the time and effort to make a psytrance track/show with real/live drummers, people on different blowhorns mimicing synth's with people on effects etc etc and woow, in my head this sounds so fucking rad, like thhe term killer would need to get a upgrade.

Of cource, for the person controling the hihat, the person doing the kick. Must be hard work following the trance rythm, but if someone hadpulled it off, I would be moping for the rest of my life. I once saw a band doing D'n'B with live instruments, so it's doible, i think ..

I also think freeflows suggestion would be quite interesting, I wonder how that would translate to gabber... but the idea is great!           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

haha.. gabber, yeah why not.. but of course more intense and hard for the drummers and other musicians..

but it would be real cool if more such bands came up and made some live performance..

Djembe, doumbek´s and darabuka´s, Djun Djun for kick
And all other kinds of percussion.. shakers and tambs of all sorts... triangle you name it...
and didgeridoo for baseline... or a talking drum maybe.. also steel guitars with sliders, and rhythm guitars... flutes... horns... yeah you can have a real blast with lots of stuff... so many instruments to play around with that can produce very psychedelic sounds..
this would be awesome to dance to

Who knows maybe ill make a band someday.. hehe

Cheers dudes

I play my live chill stuff by just triggering loops- completely improvised. I also occasionally play with another person- 2 laptops synced up.

If I could get instruments and people to play them, I would totally do that. I've got a clarinet I plan on incorporating into my sets too.

It's fun as hell.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

Hi! yeah almost like them but more back to the roots and many more musicians, i mean all acoustic, no electronics whatsoever, just a good setup of drummers and other musicians so its loud enough... really tribal a fusion of instruments, from Africa to India to Ireland to Australia, Scandinavia, South America, China.. just mix it up... all this with a driving danceable beat... just use your imagination...

well Zork im your opposite.... i already have great sound in my Alhambra and my djembe and all the other acoustic instruments i have...

Good luck in your future of Better sounds and bla bla bla.. hehe

If there will be a chance for going back to the roots i will follow without a blink of an eye.. you can have my soft synths, but i never said that we have to leave computers behind... there are electricity to generate in many ways... and we can probably continue to record and do such creative things.. but if not, im happy just to live in the moment with music, you see we record so much that we dont even have time to listen to it all...

Hey Ascension, seems we have similar methods of doing live sets.

You play the clarinet? I play the recorder. I was thinking of getting one of these as a live toy, have you seen it yet? It's a MIDI controller woodwind instrument from Akai. It seems to be adjustable for a variety of instruments from recorder to clarinet to sax and a few others.

That's great to hear. I figured it wasn't anything new, just not a lot of people doing it. I play the clarinet- not particularly well though- mostly just for sampling right now, but I plan on getting better. I like the look of that instrument- might be something to get later on .           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound
