btw , what ever happend to the LABEL STUDIO ??
this should be the real way , all label artist should have acces to the studio create together and have the best equipment.
unfourtuntly labels are very amature in psy scene and also thinking too much about the cd sales which in the outside world its long time not the issue...

I think the size of the scene is more important here than the fact alot of labels are amateur... If it would be a million $ business, labels would have studio's...

Like supergroover said it's hard for psytrance labels to justify that cost.
And even major mainstream labels really less on big professional studios nowadays and many times instead budget for artists to build their own studios.
It's easier for the artists to be creative when you don't have you own space and is not pressured to finish on a certain time because next artist is booked in...and since you now can get fully professional results with a quite small budget it's possible to use that approach.
I would for sure rather have better royalties than paying for a studio that I maybe have to travel around half the globe to use under during allocated time slots.           (``·.¸(``·.¸(``·.¸¸.·`´)¸.·`´)¸.·`´)

well i think iboga has their studio as well exogenic and hommega
no wonder this are great labels that keep working and profit and realese the best sounds in their own sub-sub-sub-genre

as far for inspiration etc. i think its very personal

i would like to start the skitz at home sure on my own free time and muse , but then need to finalize in pro studio IMO and probably better with the people that are in the business with you (labels and artists should have more partnership then 1-2 tracks for VA , where is that getting us to?)

its not reality for me yet but it will be for sure

as well , a dedicated music room in place that never bother anyone (noise) and that other people come that its not your house.. maybe host some international acts when they arrive.. i think it can add to the inspiration (remembering reharsle of the bands i had , it was more fun then computer screen , and more limiting music wise sometimes with certain people but with other people even the sky is not the limit)

and about travel half of the world ... isnt that the hole point??
let the label find you 2 nice gigs there and finished story (did i said cd sales is not the main issue today as we know)          www.sattelbattle.com
