I've been using itunes to get all my stuff for a while now, but i'm wondering if there are any sites that would cater more towards our music. plus, i'd like to search by record label, and you can't do that on itunes. |

I tried fakescience for the Carbon Based Lifeforms and it worked a charm...you get a direct link to download the zip file ( active for a week)..and the mp3's are @ 320kbs...I hope they get more content from labels.
emusic seems to have great independant selection but unfort. they tie you in...i prefer 2 impulse buy.
allofmp3 is the cheapest/versatile...but they dont do trance/ambient/chill...although i did find murcof, monolake, gotan project, anoushka shankar, marconi union...but mostly generic lounge (buddha bar)...also they are under constant legal attack.
www.bleep.com
looks interesting, nice IDM range..must try em.
itunes purchase are'nt available everywhere e.g. south africa (dunno why)...and besides the tracks are locked to your hardware..same goes for Windows DRM ...although 'fairplay4wm' removes that.
Microsoft is pushing for the Trusted Platform Module on motherboards to secure licenses......be aware!!! |
