hey u all, im looking for a place to download nice samples for mixing - especially movie talking among other thing.
can anyone be of some help?

samples from the net is overused or bad quality...
rip them from your dvd or make them yourself

i also would suggest that you rip them from dvds.
exspecially for som fx sounds, films are a great sample-resource

If your soundcard has got duplex, your wave editor of choice. Just press play on the dvd, and then record in the program

yes, i use a small prog called "DVD Audio Extractor" - after ripping you can cut the file in wavelab or....other progs

games are great sources of sound too, u just have to know a little more about file-formats and how to open them (.w3d files, .sfx files,...)... But lot's of games don't even bother putting they're audio in special files, they just use wav and mp3 and other normal kinds of compression... look around, u can collect so many samples in a week that u'll need more then a lifetime to use them all... |

games are an awesome source for effects, that's for sure!
whenever i get bored with a game and stop playing it, i copy the wav files and then uninstall it.    .
Respect is earned, not demanded...
