actually,
i would put an old DEEDRAH track called "signe furax"
up against 99% of this so called 'dark psy' and i would say the deedrah track is scarier, darker, more powerful, more intense, and kicks more ass!
thats right. a DEEDRAH track is more scary than all the cannibalistic psycho head chopper wannabe crap...

Still waiting for a sub-140 BPM darkpsy movement. There is much power to be had in the tempos below the standard brain hammering. Trimada sorta has the right idea but I'd like to hear something that glows. Two tracks that come to mind:
Kluster - Rhythm Foola
Phatmatix - Deus Ex Machina
Electrypnose experiments with lower tempos a lot and the results are often spectacular. Looking forward to more!

fast is not psychedelia, neither frightening, its plain rush like some dude on speed who keep talking without having something to say but keep talking fast nonsense
And most of the people going over 150bpm are into that territory, 90% of them are only aggressive, nothing psychedelic neither complex in there
back to the heavyweight sounds

hey ocelot. If i listen to your tunes i hear "dark fast" stuff aswell. And most of your tunes in compilations and albums are included in cds with other artist making the so called dark trance. Why is it that your tunes are in another category and the rest is dark. Sure there are people making tracks with way to much bpm, and call it dark trance, but its easyer to make it sound crazy when u do that, and everybody knows that already. Later on when u get more skills people tent to turn the bpm down abit and concentrate on the harmonics and melodies. Not everybody but many.
Just couse u discovered this "phenomena" now and obviously are sick of it, why does it matter ur posting this stuff acting like this guys who make this type of music are trying to be cool or whatever. Just couse you moved on for slower beats.
Let them do what they do, just like u are doing.
btw ur new stuff are very nice, i heard on soundcloud. psychedelic stuff.

PS. We all know slow scary music has stronger effect than fast scary music which is more confusion then scarification.

It require some skill and creativity. Elements lacking in the 150+ bpm madness of noise and noise. Sorry if I offend some but there's very little skill and creativity and not to forget musical vision in these attempts to make "music". Of course this is my personal opinion. But it is possible to use dark elements (its always been there) without having to go into gabber mode.

But whats the point of picking on these guys making this fast "dark" music all the time? they are atleast _trying_ to make psychedelic trance, lets worry about the more established artists who make pop stuff and stuff i dont even know what to call. The other guys are atleast in the learning process and perhaps will develope a more smooth style and cut down on the bpm's. Just like everyone else. I donno.
im talking about people who just started making music now ofcourse who following the 160bpm+ wave.
