when you guys send your music to labels.

as the title says .. What do you do when your are finished with a cd, ep or track...Do you send the demo/tracks to your former labels first, or you trying to send to a lot of different labels? why I ask, is i see some artists use the same labels while others jump around between different labels

If you have worked with a label for some time and feel home there, then its just keep going with them. But if its more of a sure we can release your album on our label kind of deal, i would recomend for the next one to check for better deals and more serious labels regarding promotion, payments and such. Always check for better options.
If more then one label ask you to release anything obviously you choose the one who offers the best deal.
And why not send your stuff to the label you really wanna release at first to see if they like it.
Basicly nowdays its just the roosters at Iboga, nano, alchemy, parvati, hommeaga and few others who stays at the same label pretty much.

upload to soundcloud, turn private on (anyone can reach tracks with the link), send the link to as many labels as possible. 50, 60, 100.
include a really short info about u, such as name, where from, whats in the link, that's it.

send to as many as u can and always choose the best options but do not get carried away with the cash benefits always. Remember the label needs to have a good name in the market besides nethin else!

many artists auto produce themself now and make more money that way , maybe not yet in psytrance but it will come..
releasing on one of the hundred unkwnown labels is useless to me but i could be wrong.. just my view as even from a top label you don t get much |

for sure it's one big trend - many producers create their own label to distribute their music ( i was thinking for example to ovnimoon ). But still you cannot go without a label name : noone will distribute you ! If you don't go thru a distributor, you have to distribute to the shops directly - and none of them treats with artists directly; for instance beatport only deals with labels able to present a release schedule over 1 year !
And i think there is many cool labels outside of the few main ones that everyones follow - small labels with few releases a year a no oversized names but still nice music ! And that gives a visibility for diggers
