I was thinking to myself, why does the best only come out at night for me?... I can spend a whole day mixing and moduling sounds, but only after 22 or 23 the stuff gets better.
When do you write your music, and why do you think you write at that time?

late late at night, like past 3 am....dont ask me why tho...
actually, i've heard from a lot artists in general (composers, singers, producers) that they do enjoy the late nights, early mornings a lot more then the daytime...maybe because is more quiet, there isnt all that rush happening around...and no one to bother you =P

I find it very difficult to get out of bed and put your mind into music creation because inspiration doesnt come by itself you need to see hear and feel things before u can turn them into music.

Yep. Defo at night because I'm more relaxed and don't have to suffer the guilt of other things I should be doing, with it being late and all. The best are those 11-11 sessions with no disturbance, plenty of weed and the kick and the bass already sorted.
I don't like doing kicks at night because I tend to rush through them because I want a track now!
I like listening at first light as well.  |

working days (i work 18:00-02:00)
so music time is night as well 
4-7 usualy is great time i have not much volume problem here
on free days i might start earlier like 20:00 till 04:00 or so...
while im in other countries music time is strictly daytime tho |

i too work the best at late hrs like from 2 am - 6 am
3am and 5am being my peak...
its a fact that we human listen better when its dark cus the eyes are not active so the ear become more sensitive... i always wondered why i felt more creative so it must be a main reason... when sun starts coming up and im like oh shit its almost bright is when i come up with the more europhoric material... like those epic pads and acoustic guitar parts that have overall more peaceful and emotion running... then i stop burn what i got jump on my car and take a little spin to hear what i did all night...
next go to sleep wake up and listen to again but this time i chek what needs to change... |
