towards the end of '98 my friends took me to a small local club in the city i was living at that time. local djs were spinning old-school goatrance, there was simple black light flouroscent decoration and smiling people everywhere and the lovely smell of indian inscense... and in the end i got totally enchanted. i finally found the mystical world i was always seeking for.
it was not until spring 2000 that my passion for psychedelics turned into pure obsession. infected mushroom came to swiss to introduce their bomb album classical mushroom. it was one of those historical magical lost hidden open air parties on top of a mountain portrayed with a cloudless sky full of stars. that very night i reached the next higher state of conciousness...no further comments. thank you infected!!!

Well, lets refresh our memories...
....it was 1992 ,a rave party inside a big ferryboat at the port of pireus in athens greece...three stages,one with jungle/break beats,one with pure trance,and one with hard techno...my first experience with fluo decoration insence sticks and electronic trippy music,never forget it...!!!

First party was on 30th December, Bamboo Forest in Goa. Dont remember who was playing but I dont think anybody famous was there. Those were the good old days in Goa with no canning scenes.
Had my first trip there and then got hooked to it....

i was 17 and a bike freak , don know how i went to anjuna ..... i park my bike and go down to the beach ..... it was a wednesday evening ..... the place was packed ............. one the beach now i see hundreds of ppl,, that eco of the sound i still remeber ...... and then there was no comin back !!!!

Well that's easy as I've hardly been to any. It was about three or four years ago I think, and it was a little trance set-up in my home town that my then-mate ran once a month for a while by hiring these dodgy little backroom hideouts with no more than thirty of forty people attending in one go.
This particular party happened in the upstairs of a small cafe/bistro called Diablo's, which was run at the time by a couple of slightly dubious local boys who kept all kinds of special chemicals behind the bar for special occasions. You had to go up this narrow set of steps to get to the trance room, but you could smell the weed and inscence way before the heat hit you on the ascent so you knew you were going into a happy place  . There were loads of fluoro backdrops and a mad mix of rainbow/glowing people bopping around like loonies. My two pals were both DJing but I didn't dance that night because at that point I was not massively interested in anything above 100bpm, except Hallucinogen (which of course didn't get played.) I wandered round all night chatting to people and getting wrecked on this old, comfy sofa, admiring the way my little stormy-clouds-and-lightening vest glowed under the UV lamp.
I eventually walked home in the daylight next morning with a few friends and made myself a full Sunday dinner when I got home, with Yorkshire Puddings and gravy and everything, before promptly falling asleep on a rug as my decidedly unhungry, gurny guests carried on chatting and drinking tea.
It was a good night. |

Koxbox, Psychopod, Total Eclipse in Vega (Copenhagen) in 2000 - that was my first real party, even though I got to see both Koxbox and Psychopod along with Hallucinogen at Roskilde Festival the summer before (1999). 2002, Old Manali, Riverside..... no clue who played........
Walked around 20 odd kms to find the party, from Jagatsukh - Prini - Manali - Hadimba - Old Manali - Manu - Rahsta Cafe - Forest - Mountains - River & then BANG...... Doof Doof Doof....... Parttttyyyyyy.....
Magical experience.....

Hallucinogen, Tristan, and Beast at a Tsunami party in NYC in October 1998. I had heard their music about a year before but didnt know anyone who went to parties, not even did I know anyone who knew anyone who knew anyone who went to them. I finally saw on the hyperreal website the party post. I had to argue a lot to get my parents to let me go but they finally caved...

My first partys was in Estremoz, Portugal in Easter of 96!!!
Was pluged by a coupple of guys that a year later would start the Bigest psy gathering ever!!!....Boom Festival!!!
I went there without knowing anything about Goa trance...
A beatifull lady dressed in a cosmic white was there to welcome all of us!!!Thank you Geni ...that moment will allways be in my heart!!
Only 100 people but Magic Dance!!! Domino was the DJ !!!
Thank you all for opening that DOOR for me!!

The first party with trancey sounds was mike maguire
playin set somewhere in a small club in corfu..!There I saw all these crazy guys who would become best friends as time passed!
My older brother is ''responsible'' for my induction trance culture.
