What I would want to hear if I had never heard it and someone else was playing it at a party.
  You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me? |

i start with a feeling, or a memory, or a scene or story which i imagine... then i try to recreate (or create) it.
it sounds like pretentious fucking bullshit but it's true |

for me a track evolves after kick and bass and some perc is done. its like the k-b takes the track somewhere.
i dont have the interface in my head to translate my mental athmosphere directly in a track, although in hard times tracks become more dark and when the sun is shining in life it becomes more full-on.
i wish i was more in control as far as trackcomposing is concerned. so vision?.. not really. |

Any kind of strong experience I have had in my life, good or bad, but generally, when I am smoking, I look at the smoke taking weird shapes or look at my speaker cones in order to look away from the screen.
+ The HR824 bass driver looks great under the right lighting.

usually start with the beat on mind. having the kick+bass and the fundamental note of the bass, start with some percussion samples that fit the other two elements.
make an eight or more bars loop and the fun starts on the midi from now on, most of times i start with a simple piano sound and upon the fundamental note start to find the next notes, again most of the times on pentatonic scale to start a melody. i think theres no end after that, you find a nice pad for a "carpet" of the track and again upon the previous melody playing i make other midi patters that involve notes of the previous, a new melody that answers to the previous or takes the hole vibe somewhere else, same goes for the percussion rythm that from now on follows the path.
After having the melody, i through the midi pattern on a synthesizer and make a new sound for that melody and goes on
But the hole process on melodies and transitions is upon imagination, feelings, memories, landscapes.
I think i dont like the same emotional situation in a track, i love transitions that change the feeling, even from "light" to "dark" in the same song with the proper flow. thats life after all

sometimes i get the whole track just like playing in my head, then i analyze it then try to make sense of it.
Sometimes i have no idea,so it just builds itself |

when i make a tune i'm generally feeling some sort of theme, like if i'm feeling happy and summery i'll make a tune that reflects that. today i've been happy but tired and feeling a little down, so the tune i started making has a kinda 'final battle' kinda vibe to it haha. that kinda thing really, i never visualize a song as such, it just heavily reflects what mood i'm in at the time, that being the reason why i can't understand how some people make only one genre of music, sometimes psytrance just doesn't reflect my mood at all so if i'm feeling chilled i'll make some hiphop or if i'm feeling a little nuts some breakcore. but i guess it works differently for everyone.

Projection makes perception. The world is what you gave it, nothing more than that. It is a witness to your state of mind, the outside picture of an inward condition. As a man thinketh, so does he perceive- Anonymous

Mind is empty. My subconscious mind is on, but I don't know. Then when the song starts getting good, it's exciting, and I just ride the grooves, let the subconscious take over, and put down whatever pops into my head. |
