I saw an interview with the Booka Shade guys how they arrange some 3/4 loops till they match again with the 4/4 ones.
I just have a question that might look stupid but... if I work in 3/4 does it has to be 16T (triplet) or should i keep the 4/16 per quarter measure? |

3/4 can fit into a 4/4 pattern after a certain amount of repeats(4 repeats is the same size as 3 repeats of the 4/4 pattern) so it is possible to use them together.
I do it sometimes with percussion or FX type things, so that it changes subtley every bar but eventually converges again

A lot of old-world dance music is in 3/4. Waltz is just the most famous example. Actually, some of those genres are in 6/8. It's the same as 3/4 mathematically but different musically - because it combines an odd (3/4) and an even (2/2) meter. So, it can be twirly and symmetric at the same time.
There will be 2 "beats" then, each subdivided in 3 equal (1/8th-long) parts. The same way trance has 4 beats, each subdivided in 4 (1/16th-long) parts.

Anything you want 
3/4 is already outside the trance "specifications", anyway. Even if there were some rules about how to divide each one of those 3 quarters (and I am not aware of any) - you already broke the main "4/4" rule , so you can continue breaking smaller rules too.  |

wave files are very easy to use in cubase .
there are no secrets.
just be sure to bounce things ,after you are sure that's the sound you want and it's final. cause there is no return after that if you will want to change the sound.
