When I put the Waves PAZ Analyzer on my track I can see that there are a lot of peaks in anti-phase, then I put the S1-Imager on it and I tweak the "width" switch down till there is no more anti-phase.
Now it seems that all the power of my panning effekts is gone!and the track sound to much centered!
Now the question,Is anti-phase wrong? and is it necessary to tweak the width so much till all the peaks in anti-phase are gone? Explain me please! thanx!:)           http://soundcloud.com/euphoricapsy

smart Q
please have single .wav file in mono
now copy to new chanel
play them together and invert the phase of one of the channels
now as u can hear they both disapear
this what happenz with your entire track , some frequrncies happen to make that so they might cancel out specialy in party it happens alot
u can use stereo width control yes , i dont like the paz tho.. u can chage preset and get the result u are after lol..
also try remove cd offset can help the antipashe if im not mistake           www.sattelbattle.com

I don't think that you can avoid anti-phase really. Well ok if your mix is mono but...

It's quite normal to have some Anti-phase so don't worry. Just check you mix in mono. Listen for missing sounds, loss of punch etc. If you just do that then theres no need to look at an anti-phase meter anyway.

Ah ok! So I must save a mono wave of my track to check if sounds are missing or are not sounding the way I want them to sound! Only if that happens I have to change things with the imager! When I hear no difference ,there is nothing wrong with the track and I can ignore that antiphase peaks on the Analyzer! I think I get it a litlle bit Thank you guys!           http://soundcloud.com/euphoricapsy

no one is going to listen to your track in mono anyway, so why bother?

WTF! So that antiphase shit doesnt even matter in stereo? Then I do nothing about that peaks again! Let's just make music! No worries anymore! Thanks!           http://soundcloud.com/euphoricapsy

When u have an anti phase in your track, it affects the PUNCH of the kick of the track, you loose its power.

agree about antiphase, but surely lots of ppl will listen the track in mono since lots of party setups are mono           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

The antiphase isnt on the kick and bassline, the peaks apear only in the parts where I use a lot of Delays and panning effects! I think I gonna ignore the peaks ,the tracks sounds nicer with the peaks then without them!

@MadScientist:
Why they do that? Stereo is much nicer I think!           http://soundcloud.com/euphoricapsy

Depends on in what freq the phase-problem appears and in what frequency range your kick is working           Demand recognition for the Armenian genocide 1915

Really? All parties I've been to were mono. Stereo image is virtually impossible to create in all parts of a room, best if everyone just hears the same thing.
