If they are hired as Live Act, they cannot play other peoples music.
Its like telling the crowd its their own music, cause its live act.. so thats the obvious conclusion for the crowd. |

Maybe the artists you refer agree with me that their music sucks. or maybe let the dj choose the music. |

Well, I actually think it’s a good thing.
In a DJ-set they’re not "limited" to their own productions, and remember that a good producer isn’t necessarily a good DJ – I’ve personally heard a lot of bad DJ-sets from artists during the years. One example could be Full Moon festival 2004, where some of the liveacts had 4 hours for a liveact and a DJ-set. A few of them played exactly the same style of full on in their DJ-set as in their liveset, and it quickly got very boring.

When certain artist performs a DJ set, he should be first a DJ and then an artist. To perform his own stuff he has the opportunity as Live act or Live PA. In his DJ set he performs his abilities as a DJ and definitely should put the right stuff in the right time, and if his own stuff isn't the right stuff in the given time, then hats off for those that are professional enough to do that. That what is DJ all about imo

excuse me for saying this, but who gives a fuck where the music is comming from ?
Making full-on (specialy with a vb-1) is like playing FIFA in easy mode, you're always sure to win. |

I would be pissed of if an dj would play only his music on a dj set, especially if it would only be israelien music. ;) that is what lives are for.
i really cant understand your comments about an dj playing stuff that is not from his own country? speakers dont send suicide bombers in vibrations so you should be safe even though the music would be produced somewhere else. |

Hello everybody how are ya
Well in my opinion an artist can play what ever they want in their dj set.....Thats why when they play live, they only use their music....Also the dj set gives de oportunity to the Dj, to play another person music!
peace
