i said u one thing - as dj (and creator) man must play his best stuff from his case. dont u think ?? no matter who's copyright...

another simple answer - creators will on your side (yeah,they want promote their music,isnt it simple ??), dj's will say what i say (well,they dont make music so only trax they can play is another ppl trax).
but eran,never forget,party is about djing.period. live acts its nice but prime fun is dj,no doubt.
when u book somebody for a dj set,u dont book music, u book his ability to to make ppl dance, in every way hr see as right for specific moment.

but in this case i just will prefer one of my friends that will come to play what we like best.
it will be kinda line up with one d.j when we tell him he will change style.
minimal
progressive
full on
when i am going to a party
music - 70 %
ppl - 10 %
dicuration - 10 %
d.j - 10 %
of course that if you say to me right now that L.B.M or Simon will come to play in a party than the d.j takes 10000 %.
q for you - why pay x nis to a known d.j that will come to play the same music that one of your friends can play no charge ?

becoze your friend have this trax stold from AG inharsh quality and he sure cant mix like X dj, also im not sure his best trax is same that X dj trax.

and only for your knowledge - i got adsl three week before. before it ALL my top ten (and ALL my music) was ONLY original cd's.
come and check, u live near me.
saw once 450 original cd's ??
if not, u are welcome to check...

and trance world that u speak about is YOUR trance world. mine is complitely different.
your friend a collector can steal till he will have every trak, but djing is about feeling, mix skills, concentrating and spirit. thats not about how many unrl trax u have.
now go ,dig the forum and find my top ten charts, check it and see that only very (i mean VERY few) trax there is unrl. i proud of my tops becoze is released stuff,just open your eyes and find so many music that released and u have no clue what is it. thats a point. to be original and refreshing u dont need steal music.
and please (again) dont speak about this "collectors" = litlle kids that trade trax like meat. HATE THEM.

i see u dont get the point of this long (too long) thread. again:
your question - why ppl who made their own music play trax that maded by other ppl ??
answer - there is alot reasons for that.
reasons in no order:
1) this man dont have so many his own trax that he play only them. i mean not so many ppl make music all day long, so not so many ppl can play their music only. (for exanple - esterian project that u told about. this guys have 5-7-max 9, trax, how do u think they can play all set long their own music ??)
2)man make specific style that dont fit to specific party that he was booked. (best example is .. esterian project that make hard tech-trance that was fit to that party like condom to my cat)
3)now is a main reason - djing as i said is not about play something specific, is about try to make new with help of vynils/cd's and mixer. its about creation and no rules here. in opposit live act is about play your own music,so your question realy not relevant, dont u agree ??

before u ask such question check the background of every specific dj that u talk about.
mahasuka that haf year ago came to dinamo and played tottal house surprized me alot. i didnt got what happened but few days after i found that man opened his own house label so from that point i understood very clear why he played this stuff.
also about jeppe - he presented the future sound of iboga,whats wrong with it ?? the fact that i like old sound of iboga (130 bpm minimal psy) not make him MUST play it. understand ??
