Read up this article comparing the sound quality of FL and Cubase : http://djbb.dk/floops/index.php?cat=sf-antialiasing_test .
It shows that FL is a high quality sampler and that any perceived net superiority of Cubase is pretty much an illusion... as long as you choose a high quality rendering mode and export in wav (The FL mp3 compressor might have some quality issues in my experience). Cheers !

On Cubase forums you won't find words Fruity Loops at all, since they have nothing to proove to anyone.

BTW,
the issue with FL audio engine wasn't about it's rendering but at sample loading so reading thru research i find it nothing more than FL user trying to show off.
Why?
a. No Cubase versus FL Producer rendering.
b. No Cubase versus FL Producer sample loading.
Results should be substracted from each other in order to have an idea whether sounds (IN/OUT) identical or not. Spectrum analyzer prooves nothing as well since i don't know it's precision and what all lines means there.
Cubase rendering engine just exports samples as they are when FL producer have a choise which i'm doubt usefull when it comes to best quality. As i read somewhere in manual 256sync or whatever it called exporting is about automation processes precision rather samples and sampler, but i might be mistaken. You right, some do music using Nord Lead linked to Yamaha consul and some linked to Behringer mixer, the result isn't the same i guess.
