Whatever happened to...

Today I was listening to Necton's great album B12 Cocktail and I began to wonder... whatever happened to those guys? I never hear anything from them again. So I thought I'd post a topic here to see if anyone know what they're doing nowadays. Last thing I know is that one of them had the Slugger side-project, but aside from a few releases I never heard anything from that again either.

And while I'm at it I'll add some other artists I'd like to know about. So, without further ado here's the question: Whatever happened to:

- Necton
- Noma
- Mittelstandskinder ohne strom
- Faktor D
- Qlap
- P-Woland
- Massimo Santucci (Prototyp)
- New Age Hippies
- Xploring Inner Space (XIS)

That's it... I'm sure there are more. And people, please feel free to add your own artists to this topic. Maybe we can help each other out here.

Oh, and moderators: I never searched, so if there's already a topic like this, feel free to add this to that topic. TIA!           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Necton: Still making music as far as I know. They played at VooV this year, but I unfortunately missed their set.
MOS: Oli from MOS has a DJ-act called Pottrockers together with the german Frederik Flanger.
Faktor D: One of them (D-Tector) still makes music, and had a couple of releases this year on Flow and the "Trancers Guide To The Galaxy 2005" compilation
Qlap: Unfortunately seems dead at the moment, as Ticon and Minilogue/Son Kite seem very busy with their individual careers. I actually asked Seb at a party a year ago if they shouldn't revive this project, and his reply was "maybe". Nothing new since then though.
P-Woland: Nothing much from P-Woland the last couple of years, but he did release an album under his Pope Of Gegga project.
New Age Hippies: Recently released a track on the Waldfrieden compilation. Still active.

I would personally really like to hear new stuff from Neum and A.K.D.          DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

Noma is playing dj-sets at houseparties around here. I haven't heard him myself so I can't say which kind of music that's being featured in his sets, but he's been playing amongst house-names at [obviously] house-events...

Thanks for the info people I appreciate it. It would be interesting to hear some new stuff from Necton, since their two albums B12 Cocktail and Children of the Noizy Village were very good IMO. D-Tector I know, so that's one half of Faktor D... Loved his track on the Trancers Guide to the Galaxy. Hope there's going to be lots more from him like that. Pope of Gegga I know as well, pretty good stuff that is, though that project is also not very active at this time I think. What hurts me most actually is not hearing stuff from MOS anymore. I've got all their albums and those are great ...           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Still making music. In the 2nd edition of Chaishop Music News there was an interview with DJ Kore, and they played an unreleased collaboration track by Kore and El Audio. I think

I was wondering about P-Woland, I've just heard the "Footprints" compilation from DS and "Moments" is one of the best I've heard so far, know about his Pope Of Gegga project but since then nothing really happen with him, too sad.

"Massimo Santucci (Prototyp)" Still active and recently released a track at the Rocky compilation in Phonokol Records.

I would like to add to Shaman and Mark Allen, Marks as far as I know is a lawyer in Australia, not more music from him either. Shaman music seems to be dead as well, he released really cool tunes on DS and Plusquam.

I would personally really like to hear new stuff from P-Woland, A.K.D. and from 12 Moons.
