Hello People!

I have found a nice local store with good prices and i want to buy a midi keybord!
I am between of these:

M-Audio Oxygen 8 v2 (60 euro)
http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Oxygen8v2.html

M-Audio Axion 25 (130 euro)
http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Axiom25.html

Well both are in very good price i think but i dont know much thinks about these keyboards but i have heard very good words!
So...can you tell me your suggestions or if you have one of these you will know better to tell me.

Thanx a lot!

Cheers

Oxygen 8 is a lot more portable, and the Axiom has the trigger pads and is kind of bulky and heavier. I personally don't like the knobs and keys on the Axiom..they're supposed to be half weighted but they feel very cheap, and the knobs aren't easy to turn when playing live (they have that clicky thing to them where you can only turn in notches).

If you're going to be using it live, Oxygen. If you want to pay more for features for studio use while still being relatively portable, Axiom. Just my opinion.           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

And PsiloCybian, I've had an Axiom for over a year and I've never had any problems with it...not sure what happened with the one you got

Thanx a lot friends for your feedback! I appreciate it!
Well difficult to choose...but i close to axiom.
As Kane says axiom is more for studio act and from friend Gutter i heard also good words for axiom!
I saw also some videos from youtube to take a taste for that!
I intend to use the midi only in my home studio (for now)! As i saw on youtube many artists use the oxygen 8 for their live acts, as you said is very good for live.
However the problems that other guys told, Hidra and PsiloCybian puzzle me a lot.
Maybe i will go to the store and see carefully first and touch both keyboards to see the differences that they have (the sensitivity of knobs/keys/buttons etc)
Also i want to ask if both keyboards are easy and good to setup in cubase? As i saw on youtube the setup is nothing special and with no problems. But i dont know exactly!

Thanks again friends for your time! You helped me a lot!
Take care!
Cheers

My oxygen v1 is 3/4 years old and still workin well (via midi cos via USB got a lot of problems).

It's very cheap for what it offers, the V2 offers also navigations buttons (play, stop, ecc ecc).

Anyway i like a lot also the pads of axiom good for some sampled drums or FXs...

btw my choice today would be a nocturn plus a good keyboard whitout triggers.

I have an Oxygen8 V2 and never had any problems.
My old house mate had the same and had a key malfunctioning not too long after he bought it (less than a year).
I've had mine for a year and a half and it works fine.
Main reason I bought it was because it was cheap and its only 2 octaves, which means I have space for my ashtray, rolling papers and smoke close to me on my desk.
