my feeling that 2 per cent goes to the artist,98 to the distributors,stores,labels,that not rarely dont even give a copy of the original to the artists (in trance scene most of this label owners are djs,producers,and it happens constantly.........who is the thief here?i got confused........and its really dumb to put the guilty on people that want to share music instead of going to the television,or theater,or movie production WHERE NOT RARELY THE MUSIC THEY USE ARE NOT BUYED AND ITS RECORDED FROM COMPRESSED MP3 AND THEY DONT ASK AUTHORIZATION TO USE THIS,so peole continue complaining against the poor people that cant afford 18 or 19 euros for a cd but nobody told nothing about the companies that win millions using your music for free and dont respect a shit of your work..........funny no?beatport are thieves,but its COOL to buy music on beatport........................
i download mp3 without a shame ,many of the artists in trance scene were not known if it was not the mp3 sharing,so this conversation is so last year...............anyway i have circa 10.000 original cds.......but i never felt any support from the artists i supported and play their music.............................................................................answering the question only a thing now makes me buy a cd..................breasts on the cover |

Avg. buyer today usually spends 40$ a month.
I get bored of an average release after 4 entire listens.
Time taken to listen to a CD 4 times ~ 4 days.
That is approx 7 CDs a month.
Within budget that is 5$ a CD.

If the music is great you pay whatever it costs.... if you can buy a sticker or shirt you pay more just because you love the artist that much.
hard to categorize the music lover... as you know some pay 200$ + for CDs.

Never pay above 30$ for a CD or anything you can't sell for 5$ more.

Sorry but this thread is kinda pointless. I like music, so I buy it. Stickers, loops and samples, ads, digipacks, and all the freebies in the world don't matter. (Sorry Aleph Zero)

I have 200gb+ only of psychedelic tarnce and i bought very few out of that....
its not cause...they are not good music..\

I appreciate ur honesty...I was answering to the question raised...by the initiater..I knw I am hurting various artist on the forums, producer, record owners...
However, the listed cd is only given to show that even the latest stuff is available for download..gone are the days..when we used to download 2005 songs in 2007...
its nt just the trance which is evolving..even the uploading team on various warez sites are evoling...
I aint a dj nor a musician, but it would be dream to become one...however..the ppl who alrdy r..must come together to penalise thousands of ppl like me..
if not penalise ppl...then atleast make sure....that free download is not available...on various warez sites...
lets tighten up the lose screws within the process so that there is no copy left out...for the uploading team...
and many more which i am sure i dnt even knw..coz i am just a normal guy takin advantage of what is available on net...

GOOD MUSIC!!! I still buy cd's when i really think it's worth it like all the Ultimae Collection, i have even pr-ordered many times this music because i know i will love it even from the samples on the website.
GOOD MUSIC makes us buy cd because we appreciate the music, the art, the work and would love to help the artists! Therefore we buy the cd!
