I am wanting some feedback from artists about what they would like to see in a promotional tool and as a listening tool. The goal of the company is to solve these problems with technology.
I've been involved with a group of people working on something with the following goals:
1. Help independent artists grow their fan base
2. Improve their all around music experience and connect interested listeners with the artists.
Some ideas we have worked on:
- Geolocation event tracking. Social aspects such as seeing who else is at the event in real-time. The user can view the events on a map and see different times and zoom levels. If the user were to travel back in time and go to a past event location they would see a collection of photos, videos, and sound files taken from that specific event.
- Auto-management of music library and purchases both local and through the cloud for mobile listening
Any suggestions about what would make your life better personally as far as music goes? If you like the ideas already listed please tell me what you like about it and how you would make it better.
