i dont know what to get?
help me decide
1.event monitors...dont know the model but the ones around 4500 shekel in israel
2.yamaha (if thats how its written) monitors that cost about 2000 shekel (again in israel)
+m audio soundcard
lets presume that im triyng my best on my sound working and the qquestion which one is better for my to get better sound
i read all posts here about monitors but i didnt come wiht an answer between those two

I gues you are buying yamaha second handed?
I woudn't.... I wouldn't use Yamaha in home studio even. imho though
Event are a nice pair.
Then again you get what you pay for.

Again the thing about monitors....
If you are talking about the event 20/20 I would say that you have good value for the money...
But I don't like them all the same.
www.xe.com told me 4500 shekel are 850euros.. is this per pair? is it the "20/20 bas" active or the passive version? if it is the passive its far to expensive.
yamaha? Which Yamaha? There are many!
I had some MSP5.. they, to quote anakoluth, SUCK..
to be more specific. hm they suck the sound out of you music...
ok, being serious.. no bass, very bad mids...
About the Adams.. they sound very convincing, because of crystal clear high mids and highths...
but the rest.. I find them crap.
they are just 100euro per piece cheaper than Dynaudio bm6as but are far not comparable. IME (in my ears)

the best is: go to the store, take you favourit CDs and decide your self.

theres a problem with going to store cause in israel its spread with lots of stores...i mean yamaha im one beheringher in other etc...
and there some brands that can only be found in tel aviv (huor and a half driving) and i dont have driving license so its kinda (very very very) hard to manage listening to all monitors
because of that i try to ask here |

they seem to be good by characteristic
also large amount of bass in my opinion i dont like it
but you need hear them because the characteristic worth nothing near hearing them |

Hi there,
I'm own the event TR8 for few weeks, for the price - i'm very happy, the sound is very clear.
think about that you should know your monitors advantages and disadvantages and then make your sound accordingly.
Anyway i like them
don't heard the yamaha,
