This is becoming another "best of thred".
Try to write not only what but WHY you want to see them live.
This would make it more interesting. |

tekton you have really different picks. nice one.
I would also really want to see in ambient/chillout stage steve roach. I really like his stuff.especially early man album about the evolving man in nature. also for me robert rich. biosphere.
also kinda different but carbon based lifeforms is also very special for me. its the best stuff i've listened to in the near time.

As an organizer, I have tried 3 times to put together the perfect summer line-up, so for me this is not a theoretical question. I think I came pretty close twice!
Here were the line-ups of two attempts at "perfect summer" parties I did in Japan:
2001
Live:
Son Kite
Shiva Chandra
Auricular
Intact Instinct
Double Dragon
Human Blue
Ooze
Dj:
Spiralkinder dj team
Mahasuka
James Monro
Mapusa Mapusa vs Daniel Vernuft
Emok
Marcus (Son Kite)
Alex Tolstey
2003
Live:
Bitmonx
Etnoscope
Antix
Shiva Chandra
Auricular
Aes Dana
Dj:
Peter Didjital
Laureth
Strom Brothers
Mapusa Mapusa vs Sascha
Oli (of MOS)
Creator
Aes Dana
I would change the live line-ups if I could go back in time (sorry, no names!), but those dj line-ups were about as close to perfection as I've ever heard. Out of all those dj sets, it is hard to choose a best (Mahaska, Peter Didjital, and Laureth were all incredible), but for live Aes Dana was the most memorable. First set of the 2nd night, opening with a beautiful full moon above the dance floor. |

Just hope you will allow a lot of different genres and DJ's play there and make it a truely variated festival instead of what we see most in this scene. The same style and artists over and over again... Good luck
Then you might deserve to be called the most liberated - or maybe liberal? |

Yes, we should see a festival that is just great creative bangin music. from all over the spectrum, but the question is how wide is your spectrum. for me i would love a festival with radiohead(why not), brian eno, shulman, shpongle(live), Son kite(live), onnomon, peter dijital, james monro, mark allen, infected, talamasca, underworld, the orb, the disco biscuits, penta, X dream, and simon. ein chadash tachat hashemesh. there is nothing new under the sun. --kohelet. |
