ok so I probably dont understood your post I thaught you wanted to say that without modulations of the soundsources, envelopes and connecting operators what I mentioned(all this things) wich I only like to learn,it sounds not that fine or own or sth like this.Like I said Im only a beginner who learns and enjoys by eazy going.I dont know much of absynth since I dont have one but I like the sounds and that less what i have seen on youtube or whereelse.I think thet enables a user to endless posibilities .Also my english is not the best.peace |

Ah I understand now Yes its a very deep application, and you definetively have to use yourself to the interface, and how the modulations and routings works. It is pretty intuitive tough, so you can learn quickly (especially reading the manual ).
Ive also been watching the tutorial dvd, very helpful.
Then again... I dont seem to use it overly much in my tracks yet. It is big, and I very much enjoy making music when the distance from my inspiration and thoughts through the medium is as short as possible.
Then again, I´m just going to dig deeper into it to really explore what it has to offer. It is nifty for pads...

I've always found the way to be exploration with Absynth.
If I go in with a set idea of what I want out of it, I'm often disappointed and end up turning to something else.
If I go in with the idea of playing with and seeing what is in there, I often get very good results.
No doubt, this says a lot about my programming skills, but maybe it will help someone get to grips with it.

+1 for absynth again, but really my jaw felt on the ground when we did Metasynth in class
this one kick asses, Mac users are so lucky for that, really wish there was on PC too
if you are on Mac, you absolutely must have this one

I had metasynth. 1) it was weird to program. 2) I could not get it to work in logic. had to make whatever sound i wanted running it on its own and then import the aiff in the audio bin.
3) i got sculpture with logic 7 and never looked back.
It did sound great though...

with Logic? i think its strictly a standalone program, maybe im wrong, but weird to program gets +1000, its the weirdest ever seen, i understood the basics and how you work and for drones is really impressive.. but only that, you would never make a lead or bass on that of course.

You are not wrong (as far as I know anyway), it is a standalone application, which is a bummer!

hmm, theres a beauty about that,, ok i know it much more easy and handy to have it rewired with a sequencer, but you can always sit and have a coffee on it making some great sounds to use them in tracks, moreover it has very very good timestreching and waveshaping tools and you can always load other sounds made from synthesizers for further processing, if i had a small macbook it would probably used for metasynth exclusively

What the hell!!
Just gave Tone-2 Gladiator a spin, and wow this synth is freaking monstrous sounding.
Was never too impressed by it looks, but that sound just is pure fatness!
Try the init preset and just check how thick and stable those oscillators sound.
Then you go to the filter section and try some of the 40!! filters.
Absolutely great sounding synthesizers and I'm really afraid it actually sounds quite a bit better than my Virus TI Snow, and it might even kick my Nord Rack's but as well
I came to check this synth out just out of curiosity as the company is about to release another monster synth called 'Electrax'.
Wonder how to one's going to be:
