I like all genres.

Mixing side, Hitech is my favourite stuff. Most furious and burning people, I love to mix Hitech just before the sun.

Producing side, with all my heart, a not too fast, subtle balance between Morning/Psychedelic/Fullon is what I prefer put my hands on.

A full loving bass smile for the crowd when the sun is rising...

For listening at home:

90's Goa Trance, early prog/tech/minimal psy & pure ambient like Steve Roach.

At gigs:

Recently it's been all about experimental and IDM. Last electronic gig I went to was Aphex Twin dj set. 2.5 hours of sublime mixing & musical choices. Took me on such a magnificent journey from ambient to pure destructive noise.

Despite the craziness that went down in the thread I think Psykovsky live would be a different but similar experience of brain melting experimental sounds. Not for dancing, just for losing your mind and finding your soul.           Cuntus Maximus.

not really a genre, but a time period. i was most into goa/psy trance around 94-98, lots of tracks from that period still mean a lot to me. more modern stuff, not so much. still love the early dragonfly and tip comps more than anything else.           http://hermetechmastering.com : http://www.discogs.com/artist/Gregg+Janman : http://soundcloud.com/babaluma

Any genre can be good, if it the music is made of:

- strong ideas
- well implemented structure
- interesting sound design
- original and singular

Full on has becomed out of use, the plastic formula explored by many during years made people bored...

progress trance is now bigger, but its becoming boring fast also, the producers are not being inventive, and they are mostly trying to emulate the best cases of sucess, i would say that there are more and more progressive artists, because the best multi-day festivals in the world have a strong feature of prog artists in their line up

Dark trance is a mess as allways, a very few number of talents who can actualy make music, some few like electripnose can make really good darkish psychedelic stuff, but the most is pure rubish, non interesting to ear stuff

The psychedelic side of electronic music is really bad explored by people, there are still many directions to explore, but the problem is that most artists are worried about the path of sucess instead of developing, transforming and creating their own path, wich results in too many saturated and boring stereotipes...

per example i dont see many artists start projects heavy on House or Techno elements and turn them psychedelic in a way it could fit into the psytrance concept of party, people dont do it, because they think thouse styles can only be adapted to club scenes, and this is why there is lake of inventive steps, on most artist, very few take the real risk of creating, most are only emulating... Goa (old & new..but some new Khetzal tracks sounds to me better than anything from the (g)olden goa times) and occasionaly some tracks from other psychedelic genres.
My very favourite psychedelic electronic genre is Future Sound Of London (including all their other aliases and aka's) genre though.

psychedelic trance of the 90ts but also i like to explore 60ts and 70ts psychedelic music for inspiration.

i'm not a purist also i produce Deep house from 115 to 119bpm and Dub techno 118 to 122 bpm,it's a good idea to put some Psychedelic elements in this,i'll try...           d(((+_-)))b
