im using this time to program lots of virus patches and practice the flute more. any other bits of advice from anyone who's been through the same? hehe
have a nice day

Used to trackers I can see music that I hear. I imagine my music program and the patterns fly in front of my eyes. maybe you can do that too.
or you could grab a recorder and hunt strange noises in your enviroment. a squeeky door, the washing machine or bird sounds. when your computer arrives, you got lots of nature sounds that can give you fresh ideas.
play the piano (if you got one)...
build new friendships, maybe with musicians. go to play at their studios / practice room.
share some quality time with girls
paint psychedelic pictures that one day end up as album covers.

Build a grave to the old one, get a new one!
Just fill you mind with some new and fresh ideas, maybe the stop from music will give you some new original material

If you're into samples: watch movies!! Write down on a piece of paper the time on the DVD when you hear a potential sample (like no background music, good pronounciation). |
