The best DJ set I have ever heard was one by Derrick May. I have never seen a DJ emit so much energy to the crowd. Runner up is Ree.K. She has a flow to her sets that is just unbelievable. The first time I saw her spin I was so into it that when this really hot girl approached me and asked me for "a light", I just gave her a lighter without saying anything. She seemed pretty shocked about my indifference to her, but hey, I was digging the groove.

DJ Lucas @ XPO in Bulgaria

He totally changed everyone's perspective about trance that was there. Unspeakable music, briliant mixing...           www.digitaldance.org

Nick Doof - Samothraki - 2002 - dawn set at the illfated prog stage - bit ropey technically - but some great tunes/old school trance & felt like a free party (only about 150/200 there - everyone else was at the main stage) - but on a gorgeous morning by the Aegaean!

Other stand outs (non psy trance) - Beamish (Uk techno trance DJ) Freq Nasty (NZ breaks)

there are too many killer dj set to count, but just recently l'elf (turbotrance) played a really wicked morning set here in swiss at secret garden 2. people were screaming in joy and pleasure, i had a massive cerebral psygasm and manu just kept playing one massive track after another. one of those moments to remember.

Samothraki 2002, Tsuyoshi oldschool DJ set - for three and a half hours in the blistering heat - after Tromesa, Boris Blenn, Koxbox and a 3 hour Tristan DJ set at the live stage - I tried to stop and get some rest. The farthest I got was to the water stand before running back to the dancefloor. Kicking up dust '97 style, probably the best set to sum up the oldschool era for me (and the fact that the people who didn't get oldschool were at the main stage dancing to GMS live - heh, glad I didn't catch that one).          http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

I can remember the heat when Tsuyoshi played - it was midday & there was virtually no shade ( or decor) over at the prog stage -I was stood dancing under one of the few trees!
