most of the time mix at 44100 and master at 96000 with no oversampling on the plugins(using high quality src) |

32 bit float or 24 bit is fine ,whatever the bitdepth it ll be converted to 32 bit float and back to the bitdepth you have set at the output (in the sequencers that i know it works like that ) i m really not a expert but i think there is no way 24 bit is better except for diskspace (but 24 or 32 bit float both are fine imo) |

Thats not so smart.
You will never hear a differnce between 44.1 & 48k (48k = for post production)
And the calculation from 48 to 44.1 is to complicated, so you have to tear your audio into to many pieces to get from one thing to another.
24bit (or 32 if you have enough memory) 44.1 is the way to go.
88.2 you can do, but the differnce can not be heart by human ears....

using 24 bits you get this, everything converted to 32 bit float(sound engine of cubase)>24 then 24>32 bit float(mastering stage) then to 16 bits . using 32bit float you skip one convertion from 32 to 24 bits |

ummmm u have heard of soundcards using asio mode that only supports 48k 24/16 or 24/96 right? cuz thats what i have. and it doesn't support asio 44.1khz. there is no tearing tho...that would be the result of shitting conversion...i have no problems... |

ok , so why did you bought a post production soundcard?
Seems more like a bad choise of sound card..there are so many on the marked that work perfect on 44.1
