which sampler has the best user interface which can help to twist , stretch, and turn a sample into anything we wish and has a good number of effects too...

dude, I'm serious... I know for bovious we wont be turning a string into woosh but what a want is to play with a sample and use it the way I want ... |

Kontakt is the best. Pretty much anything made by Native Instruments rocks. |

just few words about it: amazing filter and lovely interface. I prefer and love this one.
2. Steinberg Halion
Great and funny. It seems the version 2 and above has the Waldorf filter. I only have tried the version 1.

KONTACT or the Logic ESX SAMPLER ...Software sampler all the way .Old Technology is a out board sampler sure there was many good ones made But Lets face it THAT IS ANCEINT TECNOLOGY and it weighs a ton to lug on and off stage if you paln on doing live shows at all.So Don't get used to some thing that you can not take on the road with you ,Take it from some one who knows..... |

Kontact, Gigasample, Halion, EXS24 all of them are great, you can't go wrong. Gigasampler has by far the best sample library but veeeeery expensive some of it.

turn a string into a woosh ? why not, its all possible 
im quite liking battery2 at the moment, even comes with its own compressor that you can put on each sample.
