well as much as i am a advocate for making your own sounds... im sure he means drums for fx, and drum one shots? if thats the case
thomas penton essential drums
and some other samples ive made myself... but thats really as far as it goes for samples... sometimes if im feeling lazy ill go through a random fx pack and see what fits and throw it in, and do my own thing to it so it sounds a tad different. but if im feeling creative and not so lazy ill usually just make my own

Over the years Vengance has proven to be the best because their sounds can be used in any genre and the quality is freakin great...For me ofc

I have used some of vengeance samples from time to time but only drums and percs and thats it
Have more fun when you create your own and ofcourse fit much better with your tunes.

i think this is the case for alot of producers but not because they are the best.. because they are processed so much that they are the easier to fit into a mix. peace |

They are all over used.. But I still find Distorted Reality to be the most interesting.
