ok, so a friend of mine who has a good musical ear says that this recent trend of mine working around this specific type of guitar sound in all my tracks is not good.
I personally like to create more spaced out stuff with strings and think it fits pretty nice. What do you say?

Hi elesede

some sound are from vanguard, I had afew tracks of vanguard instances for various stuff in that track. It's a little bit limited in terms of it's range but an awesome synth as long as you don't abuse the hell out of it.

i liked the track, though i find it a bit random. you devided it to several parts which are quite different. a pad, or a melody played differently, first as a lead, then as a background sound could unite your parts. also i didn't like that acoustic guitar stab you overused try to make it quiter and throw some effects on it or just delete i, you wont loose anything.
besides that its okay, this is music, this has its sroty and is generally pleasant to listen to.
keep up the good work and good luck.

Thanks for listening makus.

I understand what you mean by dividing into parts, all my tracks are like that actually. For some reason I always work this way but I do understand that it can be not a pleasant thing for some people but at the same time an attraction to some other ears.

The stab is actually a sampled Setar, it's a 4 string ethnic Persian instrument that I borrowed from somebody who never used it.

Thanks for listening and your opinion!

Sitar is okay, its just too loud and to me exactly this stab overused in your track. If you have the real sitar why not make different chords?

yea it's kindo loud, I will need to level it later on.
The reason why I didn't play straight on the sitar is because it's a really sensative instrument it gets detuned very quickly and you don't want to be too harsh on it. So to avoid these things I just samples the strings separetly and build a limited sampled synth out of these.

If I had Tar then I would not even think of sampling.
But before that I want to get a mid range Bouzuki!
