Sorry s0ft... it's the same on the master as it is on any other stereo channel. There's still only one audio stream going through it.

Usually i use L2 for ceiling and before I bounce my track into audio I turn it off and make sure there is no clipping, if there is i fix it with volume faders on mixer.
Then when I have my .wav file I put Izotope Ozone on 7th or 8th insert and maximize the volume, apply dithering if I want to export 16 bit file out of it also apply DC offset filter. Pay attention that it is on insert 7th or 8th (Cubase SX) because it is post-fader inserts not pre-fader inserts. If you apply dithering on pre-fader inserts it will be useless bc Cubase internally works on 32 bit and your dither wont work

Usually I keep undithered version of my .wav file so that I can hear it in full quality.

I keep my master clean now. Maybe a frequency analyzer, but I do all my post production work separately... I tend not to use soundforge or wavelab as much anymore for my mastering chain but after I have bounced my 24 bit wav. file I will import it into my sequencer and run ozone or L2... Sometimes I will experiment with eq and multiband compression, but more often than not I just put the L2 on it and call it a day...           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

I usually don't do any sort or master low cut... I am a big fan of leaving the low end rumble of the kick in my tracks... I eq every instrument individually so I usually do not feel the necessity of a master eq, but I also try to be very flexible about my rules... Occasionally I will have a L2 bypassed and might turn it on to hear how it all sounds maximized (make sure none of the sounds are too loud etc, but more often than not I leave the l2 off untill I have finished writing the track and use the l2 to check the volume of the individual parts right before I bypass it again and bounce the entire file.

I am all down for leaving the mastering to a mastering engineer if I know the track is going to get released, but I still need a version to play in my live sets and dj sets while the track is getting mastered. Usually once the track has been mastered by the mastering engineer, I'll play that version.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

insert 1 - bit crusher
insert 2 - flanger
insert 3- bit crusher
insert 4- l2
insert 5 - bit crusher

just kidding!!! but it does sound unique !!!

usually i don`t put anyting on it.
maybe an analizer from time to time.

now about the L2 ... don`t u think it applies to much of its own eq to things? what i mean is... even when its almost not working it changes the sound not just in loudness and compression but also alot in the timbre of the sound.
is it just me or is it so?           if u dig deep enough u just might reach the sky...
