Insert1: EQ (Firium)
Insert2: Comp (altough this is optional, i don't use compressor in the master signal every time)

then i wave hammer and normalize in soundforge

i don´t use anything in the master channel.

if every channel is well eq and comp then no needs to do that in your master channel. if you still need to, then maybe its better to export the track and use those plugs in soundforge.

i use firium as a frequency analizer and to do the slightest adjusments on the mix. i use mixing most of the times but sometimes i find it better to eq in the master channel.

i only use compressor in the master ch to correct bad mixes. i haven't used in my last 2 tracks but they were useful in my other tracks

I think plugins will use the same cpu on any channel.

Anyway - I use L2 plus freq analyser and waveform viewer...

i think it processes more on your master. i mean, it does have a lot more sound to deal with on the master than any other single channel. but i could be wrong, it wouldnt be the first time.           The IsraTrance MySpace Group:

imo its not very good to use plugins on the master ch while producing, because they are coloring the signal, which should be clean in order to do a propper mix.
save this for the mastering (engineer ^^)

Sorry s0ft... it's the same on the master as it is on any other stereo channel. There's still only one audio stream going through it.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering
