Just wanted to share/see what other people use for their favorite filter. I like using a few different filters here and there (QuadFrohmage, Ableton's Auto Filter, Dr. Device), but always come back to FabFilter Volcano. I really like the sounds of its different filters as well as how the automation is easy to set up.

ableton's auto filter and ohmforce ohmygod, the oldest version that came with cm magazine. a little buggy but sounds really good.

For audio purposes, if I want a basic filter and nothing else I use FabFilter Simplon. I used to use Volcano but for *just* a filter I use Simplon because it's lighter on CPU and just as easy to automate.
