I'm working with cubase. The main reason is the interface. Logic is just too ugly and hard to use. What kind of protools dya have? Mix 24? |

Yo,
I used cake 3 for two years ( can hardly believe it now ) Then went for Cubase 3.55 and upgraded with it to 5.01 score and it's a real gem - u can use audio the same way u treat midi - I still can't get used to it. It's just great. The only problem with Cubase is still that it is a very heavy program and many times the pc dies and makes sounds of a carpet for a few minutes but nothing that a MAC can do.. ne?

Right now I use Cakewalk 9.03. I would change to Cubase or something, but my PII233 can't run it. lol :D Audio editing in Sound Forge with lots of freeware plugins (for the poor people :)). Also Stomper 5 for kick drums and some whoosh sounds. Don't underestimate the power of freeware! |

yuli ma nyanim ? i too used cubase 3.55 for like 5 years & its midi is by far better then PT but i feel like the more options you have the more you spend time to tweak ..ha also on no' of windows ..look at CUBASE : you have 1st overlook 2nd midi editor 3rd audiomixer 4th master ch 5th natator(for mozart geegs ) 6th audio edit !! and the list goes on :( , unlike PROTOOLS(le) all in 2 windows !!!! edit & mix , ok the midi sux BUT for the one that record stuff in live playing its ok every program has its good and bad ,,,
anyway i bought cubase5 :) and m on the level of configurating it STILL bomshenkin

We use Acid pro, Triple Dat and the occasional Fruity Loop drum loop. making cool drum loops (or any loops)on Fruity is just too simple and fun :) everything is edited on Cubase 3.7.

Hello All! I use these programs: 1. Rebirth-the best tool for basslines and Drums. 2. Acid Pro-For Laying tracks, and sounds. 3. Protools-Making tracks with audio -:) 4. Lots of plugins and other stuff. 5. Other apps for sounds and atmpspheres. 6. T-Racks-For mastering my final tracks & Mixes. What is your Setup? |
