buahaha traveller, you get money because you study?! and you think in 3rd world countries you get that?!
man, you have to PAY for studying, not GET PAYED here hahaha
and again.. buying is not the only way of supporting the music.. actually its not even a very good way AFAIK |

I know sherlockalien. Imagine you paying R15 reais for a CD, that is how people feel in '1st world countries paying 15£$(etc)
Now 1st world countries imagine you paying 70£$ on a CD... that is what it is like in third world countries+the fact that '1st' contries get better paid in any kind of work.... |

@ Traveller: "pint doesn't cost 5€ in a 3rd world country either. I doubt a pack of Marlboro lights is 4€ in South America either. A llitre of milk is probably way less than a euro too? People don't pay 3€ for a slice of bread there either.."
Well u might be right but we don´t make our money in Euro but lets imagine for one second that we did .... a Pack of Malboro Lights costos aroud R$2 a Pint of beer costs around R$5 at a decent bar u might get it for 3 at the corner bar.... but we pay around R$1000 to study.... that means in the beging of the month we are already R$1404 behind u... think about just for one second.... nothing else to say...

DETOX, why is it that u allways have to make a statement about stealing? I mean what I was saing to TRAVELLER was only that things in 3rd world countrys are not as they are in 1st world country and that was preatty much it.....
About not having money to buy something and just stealing, we've beeing through this before and I will not say what I have said all over again...... bee as it may since u own a label (your name is in green)you should listen to ppl and try to make the changes to adjust to the reallity.... as I told you before..... try to sell your music online, lets say 0,5 euro a track..... I guess that should couver the costs once you don't have to print a cover nor have a real cd.... just a though... again

Well you know things are very, very expensive here cos there are very, very high taxes on everything. Which ofcourse then again gives me for example the opportunity to study for free, and actually get some money from the gov while doing it. Then again the 404€ wouldn't even be enough for my rent which is over 500€ a month. I'm guessing in the end I haven't got any more spare money than you do..

Traveller please do your home work... Brazil has one of the highest tax rates in the world... so please don't give me that crap. I've been to Canada e US and I know several ppl living in Europe and they would all agree that in the end we have a higher "leaving expense" then most countries in the world.... research then we can discuss this
btw sorry for the OT
and Traveller no offence man I know I sometime can sound very offencive but there is none intended

Watter did i say something that is wrong?
Downloading something without paying for it isnt it STEALING?
And please cut the 'adjust to reality' crap,i have spoken with BIG labels and artists that sale their music online in digital format on huge sites like iTunes for example and guess what, they even laughed at my question.
You can always come up with new excuses like 'labels must adjust to reality' or 'we dont have enough money' or 'we live in 3rd world country we can steal cause we are Brazilians' or 'taxes are too high' or 'we dont want to pay 15 euros for two good tunes in a cd' BUT in the end downloading mp3s from the internet without paying for them will always be STEALING.
Now just go on and find another excuse.
P.S 1 I am going soon to release my music on the internet just to see from first hand how the whole thing works. If my sales go up more than 5% then i shall donate this money for charities or something.
P.S 2 If i give permission to iTunes to release my tracks on the net HOW DO I KNOW how many times they sold my music? And by the way how do the Tax Authorities of my country tax me about that?I bet you had never thought about that did you?

In Greece by the way for people like me who own a company the Tax Office puts tax on both the company and the persons behind it.
I just fixed my taxes paper yesterday and i have to pay 25% taxes for my company and 33% taxes for myself (it would be 25% also but i got bigger profits than the government would like me to have so i get taxed more LOL).
In the end its me that pays the taxes for both the company and myself so 25 plus 33 equals to the magic number of 58%.
Amen.

Traveller sorry to inform you but the list that you provided doesnt reflect reality at all.
Athens is much much higher placed in the list ESPECIALLY for the year 2004 due to the Olympic Games taking place here.
Instead of place 50 we must be in the first 20 for sure.
New York City and Instanbul are way behind Athens and i know this from very very personal experience hehe.

You know if you make good money it's not that unusual to get like a 5000€ speeding ticket here
Some poor guy got like a 200 000€ speeding ticket lost all his money already thou
