Stephen King's It did its job well back when it was still fresh. I've always preferred the books, however, like The Shining, during the read of which I had to put the book on the bedside table and light up several times. Good stuff, indeed.

I wouldn't say it's the scariest piece I've seen but probably one of the most disturbing ones, and that'd be the French production Martyrs by Pascal Laugier.

I watched the exorcist director cut super-stoned on the first row in the cinema. That left mental residue lol

Movie: The shining...

But if someone makes a very good adpatation of 1984 for the big screen (like Darren Aronofsky), it could be one of the scariest movies ever.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

Cool idea.
And who would you pick for Jack's character?

mmmn The guy from the Pianist.

For O'brian it could be Jack Nicholson or Bardem           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

I think it was "The Descent" for me, since I'm very claustrophobic.
My friend didn't find it that intense, but for me it was quite scary           http://www.myspace.com/shumamusic

The Ring, The Japanese movie, the Hollywood remake is also very scary but does not come close to the Japanese one.

It was so scary that I woke up drenched in sweat, dreaming about it at night, after watching. Hell I get goosebumps just thinking about it now.           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:
