I know that frequency is how many times the waveform is played in a seconds, for a sine at 50Hz will "loop" 50 times in a seconds
now... for wavelenght... i think it has to do with the speed sound waves travel in space...
is it? like: sound travels x meters per second, so a waveform at 50Hz will travel x/50 ????
lololol... i'm all confused... can anyone shed some light on the subject for me? |

hehehehe... i always knew i was kind of a genius lololol...
so if speed of sound is 340.29 m / s (at sea level) a A at 55Hz has the wave lenght of 6,1870909 wich means it travels 6+ meters in a second?
i think this also means if my studio had 6m2 the bass at 55Hz would resonate?
pleeease someone explain this to me |

Thats sounds about right with 6m for 55hz.
As I recall the acustics theory it would rather be that what you call the modal frequency, where the room resonates would be at 1/2 wavelength.
So a 3x3m room would resonate at ~55hz.
The way to do it if you want to invest in acoustic treatment is to blast white noise thru you system, and put a microphone connected to a spectral analyzer.
That way you would, provided your equipment give a flat response, be able to tell where the room resonantes or cancel frequencies.

just a small corection spindrift...
you analyz the room freq response with
pink noise wich has the same energy in all frequencyes, as for white noise were the energy increases as rhe frequency does... |
