Cubase for me. Can't see myself using anything else (although I did say that when I was using FL7.) Absolutely love using Ableton for performance though. Nothing better than relaxing with a cup of coffee a y'know what and playing with an Ableton session running your live set. |

I've tryed FL, ableton live 5.0, 8.0, acid, and some others that i dont mind...
I've just made some chill out in ableton, it seems to be a nice job too
but talking about trance, for sure, cubase sx3 is the way! |

I have been using Reason 4
for 4months
and dont like that my bassline wont come through. it also doesnt sound as thick and "aggressive"
Fullon is the style i like best.
My mac crashed so i lost everything, now thinking of new softwares..but i love reason.
is it possible to rewire Reason through Logic?
I hear its quite easier to make great basslines in there.
this guy had been using reason for 7 years, he bought logic and didnt even open reason after that. since it was so much weasier to make basslines there.
But reason does have a great amount of good synths. |

FL9 for me. FL is now setup so you can have a more cubase type view if you choose to do so a never ending flow of midi and sound files as opposed to patterns. However it is still on patterns you can just set it up to act like cubase.
FL9 makes many things that take a long time in other DAWs a one click operation. FL hides many of its features but if you read through the help file you see that theres nothing it cant do that any of the others can.
All software is good depending on you and your workflow.

+1
i've been using FL for 3 years and tried Cubase but MY workflow is definitely Live !!! with live you can play/experiment with patterns much more than in FL. and if you need to experiment or playing around before producing -> Live !!!
but if you know what you want to produce when starting a project ... ... cubase is fine too.
i don't like FL anymore! |
