Hey everyone, i'm new to this board and probably even more of a noob at making music, so I was just wondering what you guys think is the best program out there to make psytrance with? Right now I use a shareware program called jeskola buzz that's very, very easy to use, but doesn't quite give you a very professional/clean sound. Any advice? |

Cubase
Logic
btw there isn't such a thing "best for psytrance" you control the sequencer and decide which style you want to do |

[Tech Support] I suppose you didn't use forum search before asking the question.

lol
truth is they're all great,
have an overview of each one and see the one you could feel more confortable with.
cubase is a full daw that is very complete but that does not allow creativity to flow like live fl or reason, of the last 3
mentioned the best in my opinion is live.
live is a real new approach to music making and is of very high quality in terms of sounds.

Try all of them, see which is the best for you.
I think cubase, logic, sonar are more "professional" approches whereas live and fruity loops are more musical intuitive approches. That doesn't mean you can't make professional music with it. Especially live is very powerful. If you like the way fruity and live work, it can be brilliant for you.
I'm happy with cubase.
BUT if you use logic, you NEED a mac.
Using the old logic on a PC, the REALLY old logic, the discontinued logic, the you get no support anymore logic, the not all new plugins will work logic, doesn't make sense at all.
Except you are already used to it and are not able to adapt to something new or don't have the money to buy a mac. But since you are new to this, that is not your concern.
