Dear Fraggle,

I'll be visiting you beautiful and holy country around the 20.12. and to the 4.1.2006.

I have never been to Israel before and would like to visit some parties, sights and other places.

Could you please give me some Internet Sites where I might find some Information?
What precautions do I have to take?
Which places must I not go?

Any hint or tip is taken with great happiness.

Greetings from my boring homeland
Elias

Hello eliaen and welcome to our Forum.

I am glad to hear you are coming over for a visit in our beautiful country and I am sure you will enjoy your stay.

You can use the search on the forum to find info about how things go around here in Israel since many other guys before you have asked the same questions.

You have nothing to worry about getting to the "wrong" places since you will have to try really hard reaching them.
Where are you going to stay? Tel Aviv? Eilat? The North?
It's a small country and there aren't too many places you should stay out of beside those you will probably wont reach anyway such as:

Palestinian territory,
Unfriendly Arab Villages,
Bad areas of some cities in Israel.

Regarding precautions feel like you're going to any other city in Europe, keep your passports and cash safe and follow the rest off all the traveling tips you must already know..
Israel is like another European country beside some small differences

http://www.atraf.co.il - clubs and commercial parties (Hebrew site)
http://www.isratrance.com - Anything Trance related in Israel check out the forum for party promotions.

Nature:

Israel is small country but there is allot of fun to do here.
Just ask around when you get here and look for cool people to travel with.

Wau, thanx!

Too be honest, I'm just starting out my planing. Today I gave my boss the holiday form, which I filled out. I think, he'll give me the vacation.

My main goal is to see as much as possible, with maybe two parties in those two week. I'll land in Tel Aviv and want to make it to Jerusalem. Is it safe to take the bus to Jerusalem? Or should I rent a car? Or motorbike?

I'll check your links as soon as possible.

Thanks again, my friend

well, Tel Aviv its THA place to hang out here in Israel so i suggest you to rent an Hotel in it. And as being said Israel is very small and T.A. is in the center so most of the cities are quite close. Its a 40 min drive to Jerusalem, in a bus maybe 1 hour max. And you have nothing to worry about taking a bus and etc. the chance something will happen is not more than the chance in England, Spain or U.S.. There are lots of security and cops in the main places and the bus stations and they pay attention to everything. If you look suspect you might be asked to show some identity yourself
Anyway don't worry, you'll see Israel is just like every other country and not like it being pictured on TV (to be hunest the things you see on tv happen in gaza strip and the west fold and not inside Israel).
There are also LOTS of parties here no matter what kind of trance you like, some of them more and some of them less underground (Dark full on parties are less underground here mostly), and because its a small country even a party in the middle of the desert will take you 2-3 hours max.
So have a good time, hope you'll have only good memories.

Don't worry, I won't back up. I love the thrill. Only when you feel the blood pumping through your vains and head rushing in joy, then you know, you're alive. Right?

I'm greek, but was born in Germany. Man, I hate it, because almost everybody is so lame here. Those people are sleepwalkers 24/7. Most of the time I can't tell, if Germans are really awake...

One more question, dear friends: Does anyone of you know a cheap flight from Germany to Israel / Tel Aviv? I would take my greek airline "Olympic" and pay 450 Euro. Is there any cheaper?

Best wishes
