What's Goa exactly?

Sorry for asking this question, which I'm sure has been asked here over a million times.
But could anyone explain me really what Goa is and what the difference between Goa and Full on Psytrance?
Is Goa this sort of music which is a bit slower, less harsh of a beat than Psytrance and without that hard rolling bassline and some hypnotic bouncing 303 leads floating back and forth in the song?
Did I just say something stupid?
And Btw, could you advice me some 'NEW' (if it's still being produced) Goa tracks?

goa is a music genre that has a speed of evolution that is so fast comparing to other music genres that I gave up explaining,
If you weren't there from the beginning (or the period when goatrance only existed) it's almost impossible to explain sorry,
so many diffrent influences, changes and subgenres have entered,
the word 'goa' is different is each countrey...
explaining in music terms,
goa are just psychedelic sounds
goatrance: the same sounds with a trance bassline that creates a more motivating danceable concept...
all the rest is just evolution and we have reached a certain point that what is released now has created it's own style, it's fullon, or progressive, dark psy trance or goatrance like back in the days,
morning fullon for examples is only played on parties where the so called goa people go to but it has more elements of general trance then the orignal goatrance imo,
what is for me not a bad point at all,
I like general trance, I like all music,
and voila here I'm back I could write 50 pages about the start of goa until today, but not a word you would understand,
why ???
not because I have experienced it all of have the intelligence just because it's so individual what is acutally psychedelic,
and what is not,
some experience euphoria as psychedelic other don't...
it's a neverending story...
what answer I can answer you correctly is if there is still new 'goa' produced but I interpretate that as goatrance,
check all releases of suntrip,
use the search,
there are recently topics on this forum about people asking for goa,
to make it ease some names,
khetzal
filteria (allthough to me it's fullon but everybody says it's goatrance allthough I'm a huge goatrance fan)
some will say ka-sol allthough that's melodic psychedelic trance but comparing to the fullon more goatrance then other subgenres
see it's too individual and complicated,
it's almost science, the ones who says it isn't just don't understand it or don't experience it that way, so I'm not saying they don't have the IQ to see what other see or feel,
when I started my so called goa experience all this internet didn't exist and I see now the best way to find out is to discover goa on your own and don't follow the top 10's of others, dj's, artist...
just follow what carresses your ear,
you don't need somebody to tell you what is good,
at the other hand we have sooooooooo many releases entering it's possible...
paradoxal, insane,
sometimes I feel pitty for those who have to search in this massive explosion of releases to find out what kind of goa fits their ear...
one tip : the year 2006 has been a very good year until know,
2005 was lame
2004 was beautifull...
so just check out 2006, lot's of change you'll find good stuff

Goa is the root land of psytrance...a mix combination with techno drum n bass n trance...
the old indians for sure know well.

Disco Volante, Cosmosis, Hallucinogen, Semsis, Miranda, Transwave, Prana, Xenomorph, Lumen, Kuro, Etnica, Astral, MSG, Chakra and Edi Mis... releases from Koyote, Transient, Dragonfly, Matsuri, TIP, TIT, Polytox, Flying Rhino, Spirit Zone... Some releases from Eye Q, Harhouse, Frankfurt Beat, Rising High, Platipus, The Infinity Project, Eternal Basement... I mean music that was created from 89 to 97. I think this gives you a starting point. I can add to this list of released music when I go through my old vynil. MUsic that was mostly analog and that melody and harmony overpower percussion |

GOA is sun, beaches n acid trance.....
baba when u in goa u get this particular vibe i still haven managed to figure out wether its the place, all those crazy psy heads, or the amazin beaches, but its a killa trip 4 sure....can guarantee u that
