what's better nord lead or virus???

i am wondering for a long long time what is better of those two awsome machine's:
Access Virus b or Clavia NordLead 2
Access Virus c or Clavia NordLead 3
and why is the _____ beter then the _____??

all are good... you must test yourself in a shop and then decide.
i decied for nord 2, cause i thought it was better than virus, but other ppl. will say exactly opposite i guess.
nord has no effects btw. so you must count in fx unit or vst fx. |

i only can complain the nord2 with the virusb/classic.
what i defenitly can say is that the nord has more clearness and stability and the virus is more unspecific and has a big soundspectrum of morphing and moving fx. the nord is even easier to use, the accessmaschine wants high technical understanding from the user.
keep in mind that nearly everyone has a nord2 and some sounds are just overused.

well im must dissagree with u
the virus has a big display wich is very user fraindly somthing that the nord hasn't
and the main thing wich is the fx section
wich is awsam in the virus (only in b series and up) and the nord dont have |

I chose the Virus over the Nord because the Virus has 16 parts and a FX section, where the Nord has four parts and no FX section. The reason I chose this is because I use the Virus for live playing (I hardly use any sampled loops *MIDI POWAH!*  ), but if you don't plan on playing live, I guess you really don't need more than four parts and FX can be applied after recording. So it will all come down to sound quality and how user friendly the machines are. I like the Virus in both these topics, but I would suggest that you go to a music store and tries them both. But I agree that the Nord seems a bit clearer in its sound...
About overused sounds: I guess it's just lazy producers that uses common soundbanks

i am allready playing live...
i use the nord lead and the virus (all of them) at the past and even right now but i really want to know what is the main different between them...

@ sd6: Please dont ask which one is better  Its a matter of taste ... like which one is better Artist A or Artist B. If you ask about the user interface .. ok, about the techn. features .. also ok, but about the sound ... this is really a personal taste thing. I have lot of hardware synths and therefore i stopped thinking the "which is better" way. Its not comparable in a general manner. Some have strenghts for special sounds (like A for clear crisp sounds or B for bass sounds) and all have their own personality.
Ok and now the personal opinion
Check out the Nord G2, its not a virus and not a NL3 ... but its a fantastic machine for advance sound creation .. almost endless possibilities... and its so small you can easy take it to live gigs.

everyone should check out synths he plans to
buy at a shop or friend who has it....it´s very
important to be not dissapointed...
virus has of course better specs than nord btw. |

i've tried the virus b and the classic one and i was amazed by the quality of the sounds that came out of that little machine,
i havent tried any nordlead yet, but dont forget to consider and try a virus, you wont regret.
