Smoking too much shisha and drinking too much espresso (if that's possible).            Aural transmissions from the deep forests of Sweden

For me that is not bad habit ... People that do this things taping on the street making sound trying to find a knob on refrigerator etc.... are people that love music           I dont know where it comes from. Or what to call it ...but it's here. And that's all i hold onto. It's all that I am. :)

wishing i had a mute & solo button for sounds in real life...

i have actually tried to "mute" my dad in a state of half sleep...

& i operate most equipment that has a knob or fader as though it was a mixer/synth
i can explain it to you...but i cannot understand it for you...

someone walks by their footsteps automatically turn into a kick drum. i figure what bpm it is. multiple people walking often turn into 1/8 or sometimes even 1/16 hi hats.

i agree about deconstructing everything i listen to. i can't just listen and enjoy unless i'm blasted. if im not blasted every element and its rythm is encoded into my brain and im deciphering how each sound was made. which keeps me from actually enjoying a sit down listening session.

thinking everything is garbage if i know exactly what they are doing. as i feel its uncreative if i can figure out what someone is doing in their track. i like that feeling i get "how the fuck did he do that" excuse me she's, but i doubt theres many she out there. unless you want to count lady gaga in which case i imagine she has a panel of engineers and producers in which case theres nothing mind blowing about anything she does except maybe the extacy.

wishing i could sample sounds i hear when im out.

not showering for a couple days.

getting angry at shows on tv or live concerts when the engineers fuck it up. saw opeth a swede band and the engineer had the kick turned up so loud nothing else could be heard. i was the guy yelling at him to turn down the kick and notch it. (seriously sounded like a psy kick)

A bad habit that has spawned through my experience with music production is the fact that i can't listen to music anymore. I mean i can hear it, but i just cant listen to it, i have to de-construct every element and lay out the essence of the track and then re-analyze it and double check what i "think made the track good". And then i have this bad gift of hearing who uses what synths and who doesnt, presetsurfers beware!

Again, reality sucks

MDMA cures that in sufficient doses

why because you become so E-tarded you actually loose the ability to de-construct/analyze...uhhh that's ok, more for you right?           Chillumafia

Actually I think music production heals my social contacts and helps me understand people better. It's easy to concentrate on other people and listen them while I know that I have a hobby via I can impress myself as much I want; so no need to do it at work or whatever.

along the music production I have started to think - all people are special some way in life so they would come up with different kind of music; understand them all you can build giant song or giant friendship. there is no such a person you woudnt learn anything about music.

music production makes me calm.

other cool things:
understanding music, understanding mixes and mixers thoughts, "perfect tune", rote memory of spectum and frequencies and em temper, more concentration on drumming with straight tempo and training good dynamics drumming

My social life suffers a lot, and since maintaining a music studio costs a lot of money, I miss out on a lot of activities because of it (but that's okay to me).

Lots of my friends can't understand how I can sit for hours on a sunny day in front of my PC listening to a looped 2 second sound bite. They always nag me to get out of the house, do this, do that, get a hobby, etc.

They don't understand what it takes to do what we do, nor the rewards we get from doing it. So ist dat leben.

Also I don't think I eat as well as I could or get a proper amount of exercise.
