I have met people from Israel all over the world and it seems like a lot of the travelers LOVE psychedelic trance.

In my country, trance and the "karahana" lifestyle is NOT common. I would say much less than 1% .. even 0.1 %or the young people have ever heard of psychedelic trance. Maybe 5 to 10% go to to club or breakbeat parties - another 5% go to hippie / Jam band concerts.

So... how common is it for Israeli people to like psychedelic trance?

#1.)What percentage of young people (20 to 40) in Israel have gotten high and danced all night at a psychedelic trance party at least once?

#2.)What percentage are true trance freaks?

10%, 20%, 50%, 70%?

What is your guess?

1. At least once? i guess around 50-60%
2. True trance freaks? maybe 15% among the 20-40 age group.
But that's just a guess.

People you met and told you they love trance might not really be the one's you think they are...

They probebly own an Infected/Astrix CD and get crazy on the dance floor of the TLV when they play Yahel...

I belive that most of the trance scene in Israel is in this forum... and this is not 50-60 %

My guess is 5-10 % of the 20-40 y.o.           https://soundcloud.com/avivtech

I heard a statistic that every year 30,000 Israelis fly to India but with the number of visas arranged in nearby countries like Nepal and Thailand the number of Israelis in India every year could be as high as 50,000. 90% of them will take drugs.

Doesn't mean all of them are there for trance, but it's probably a big number. If we assume that the majority of of them are going for the first time right out of the army and that people have been doing the post army trip since maybe 1990 (average 45,000) a year that could be up to around 800,000 Israelis over the course of 18 years. It's probably lower when one considers many might be going to India more than once.

It's still a pretty high number when one considers that there are only about 7 million Israeli citizens. Not to mention trancers who never go to India.

i dont know what about you guys but my friend circle id say that around 60% or even more have gone at least once to a party altho most of them do not listen to trance on a regular basis, they do like it and will go to the occasional party - i can tell you that ever since ive started my degree ive got more and more people into the nature parties thing and they go with me to open space clubs that play proggy/psy on a weekly basis - id say ive converted many people in my class

my guess is that the percentage of people around ages 15-35 that fit your description is around 15-20 percent... but then again its just a guess

about the true trance freaks id say 10 percent... and its getting bigger every year
