I do lots of different stuff for TVC, and already had to deal with blues, rock, acoustic / instrumental music, chill out, electro, old schools breaks, cinematic / trailer stuff. i didn\t yet try dubstep and complextro
Commercial stuff aside - I played own house, techno, drum'n'bass and breaks.
In future I want to make dance electronica, cinematic music and music beyond genres.

Cinematic music in the future I hope
btw i noticed that many trance artists are involved into film/tv production.
i think proper story-telling psytrance and ambient genres are somewhat close to underscore in some characteristics so, good luck!

this is true indeed.
i found my self day by day more into experimental/electronica/ambient - cinematic/film music. not because psytrance isnt inspire me much these days (always love to make psy tunes) but cause i notice when i produce this kind of sound i have more freedom to do different things and blend stuff etc. all in theoritical base cause there isnt a generall rule even in trance to follow you know. you can do crazy things in all genres for sure.

yeah these days where everyone sound the same you better do crazy thing . so many producers now..only way to get out is ever doing the same as everyone but you do it better , or you do your own thing.
now that there is not much sales and releasing on big labels may not matter much, and with so many producers around... maybe creativity, sounding unic will be more in front

agreed with you pom.
well when we say typical psy or common psy tune we dont mean bad tune always. i still enjoy some new tracks with the typical "fullon" psy prog or whatever, but when a track have something special and unique is more enjoyable for sure. this unique touch that some producers have or some producers are very good with their great sound (clear and fat etc) or with their techinque that they use with all these tricks etc.

speaking of working for cinema/gaming industry...
Writting cinematic music, isnt the same as writting a tune based on inspirational moments, personal taste, or anything like that...
sure people can practice and try to produce some epic, orchestral based music, but isnt that what defines if someone is good making cinematic music
the best cinematic musitian is the one who is able to translate in quality the music that have been asked to...
when a film producer or game studio contact you and tells you, this is what we want, you need to do this and that, based on this and that bla bla bla
its not entirly a free creative song writting, but its a genre where the talent can be seen by how effectivly someone do creative stuff using some third people rules, and thats when it comes the experience and the hability to do it...
not even to mention that its required enormous musitian skills to be really good, telling a story using notes and using good sound design to make it fit into the purpose, and thats really dificult...
i am a huge fan of Michael Giacchino
the guy who wrotte music for the entire Alias series and more recently star trek or mission impossible movies.
and i do like the way how he can do diferent types of stuff without being generic, there are almost some very interesting elements on his sound...
