in my opinion no one can consider himself a professional if he doesn't know how to mix...
always mix your own tracks.. it improves your skills.
try to make it sound good... even on bad monitors
I would do it ONLY if was on a label, and always side by side with someone professional, usually the same person who does the mastering. to correct any mixing flaws, in order to improve the final result.

Yeah well we all have different priorities. I want to have a pro mixing touch to my, musically speaking, solid track. I'm curious to what a pro can do to lift my material. Hopefully one day when I have more time and bla bla bla, I'll be able to make kickass mixes aswell. And of course I know letting someone else do it for me isn't the way to go at all. But for my current situation and priorities this fits my needs perfectly.
I will let you guys hear it afterwards and I hope you'll like it and I think you will. It's a quite funny and eventful tune.
Thanks for all the offers in this thread and through pm. I will contact someone of you within shortly. My journey in the quest of glory:

this is exactly how it used to work before, in older times,an artist will search for appropriate label, releasing a specific sound, and the label people would mix and master the raw material , and release a specific label sound, i think its a good way to launch your self perfectly, but in this age, it dont make any sense it you dont know how to do it yourself.
peace

imo mixing and composing are linked in electronic music, from the first bars when you begin a new track if you don t get the sound as good as released stuff it will be a lot harder and need more work to really raise the production quality in the end ,just my experience i guess it s not true for everyone, it also depends workflow , but for me i need to get the music sounding as good as posssible from the begining cause usualy it s the closer to the source you are in the chain you can fix problems the best.(at the source if possible) |

If Id had the money to spend, I totally would have had some tracks done years ago... Just to have for my own enjoyment mainly, and as a milestone of what I should be working towards, and to get a better understanding of what i needed to work on. I know it would have helped me grow faster to have a clearer idea of what exactly professional sound is.
Though its very satisfying to hear a mixdown that I made myself that sounds like I want it to. Years of hard work, though, to learn that stuff...
