I actualy haven`t read the whole thread..but in my opinion..the sound is imporatnt (for sure) but how you set the sound in the song content is most important...that is what it makes sound psychedelich...you could use any sound..

it means new to our brain which is a disorienting experience it somehow triggers fear so it and shows us how we deal with this. most people dont like this so much, becuase for most people the journey inside is frightening and painfull. |

Monotonous repeating for a long period of time makes any kind of sound psychedelic.
Small paper squares make any sound psychedelic as well.

hux flux - cryptic crunch album is psychedelic...
also almost anything by Derango is psychedelic
but i guess its just the soul that manifest..

Psychedelic is a sound that makes me feel like Im on acid, when I am not...then again, when I am on acid, pretty much everything sounds psychedelic...so the sounds that make me feel like I am on acid when I am not, sound ultra psychedelic when I am stoned.
