Id like to be able to do cool filter FX on the fly on my tracks with my midicontroller, kind of like the stuff I do in a DJ mix with my dj mixer. Antares Filter is great for these type of FX but doesn't have MidiLearn for the most part. Any other recommendations for a good Filter VST that has good midi learn functionality? Thanks guys.

perfect - this saves me the trouble of starting another thread.

i used to be able to control antares filter with my midi controller (nuendo 2 -> generic remote). now with nuendo 3, in the generic remote settings it does not give me an option for "Filter VST" anymore ?

Anyone use this combination and have a similiar problem ?

exactly. i have not been able to get it working with generic remote in SX3, and Antares doesnt have a Midi Learn. I do not know the solution so i was looking for a diff Filter that can do it.

for that part I love using fabfilter volcano.

it does midi learn and features a set of very clean to dirty filters. audio driven envelopes and excellent overdriveable, selfoscillable filters

thanks to its clean interface it gets used in almost every track now. give it a try           soundcloud.com/epsylohm

Totaly agree with you, one of the best!
here is my fav: u-he FilterScape
I use it as multiFx mechine, you can automate the parameters from the VST.

thanks for the tips guys. Yesterday somebody on KVR audio recommended me the Volcano too and I tried it and its exactly what I was looking for. Takes 5 secs to MidiLearn everything and I instantly have a sick filter to control live. Thanks!
For those that don't know about FabFilter Volcano, here is the link:

its a shame Antares filter did such a lazy job with their midi learn!
