More ideas only ideas

artist should start taking shit load of cds to parties they play around the world when you go to any kind of any indie show you always have a booth of people selling t shirts and bands cds I dont know why psy artist dont do this more often. If people truelly like your music they will buy your cds at least that is my opinion.

Second distribution will have to be done straight from the artist to bring down the prices of cds or what ever media ther are using you can argue well let artist make what they do best which is music but more smaller independent artist I dont think feasible and dont have that option.

Because the problem DOES exist and it is up to the record labels owners/DJs like YOU to SOLVE it. You cannot expect your clientele's behavior to change, you have to adjust to it. This is the reality of the situation, and if the psy-scene fails for reasons related to this it will be your fault for failing to adjust to the needs of your customers.

Buying music is good. It says you have a love and value for the music.

I don't think it is a surprise, that we will see more and more, artists who only have a private catalog, of tracks they spin at live shows.           The speed past light..

A guy in a white robe that forgot to shave in the past half a year is sitting in front of his computer. He browses music forums and finds a huge cache of psy albums. He asks himself: What Would Jesus Do?
-"Oh shit, that would be ME...I am Jesus"

So he clicks on one link and WHOALLLA he gets a free album. A pop up window opens up and he gets some free porn too.
If Jesus can download music for free why can't the rest of us? He is not going to burn in hell and neither are we...the music downoaderers from hell. The rule that must be followed is: if you download a single track today you must spread love the entire day, and that doesn't mean jacking off and spraying around, it means you show some extra care and sympathy to everyone that you encounter.

I started downloading free music in 2005 & ended up the same year.

I buy music & rip some from friends....           We were born naked & grow up to become wicked.

free translation:

Infected mushroom support publicly several times in pirate music downloads. they claim as more their songs downloaded the more popularity they got and the more albums they sold.
in mexico where they sold 15 copies , they preform infront of 4000 people. Erez I-zen: illeagal download helped us , this how people got to know our music and later came to the show and bought a cd.

-----------

my personal "excuse" is that 90% of what i download get deleted before 2 days past. why the hell would i buy some shitty music.
(hey shahar , remember in the shop you get to listen to few cds before buy them , trance is not available in the shops anyway! without credit card its impossible to buy good psytrance!!!! and most crowd is young!)
the things i listen to more then 2-3 months i make an effort to get leagal - better quality , with cover and evrything , even if i rip .wav and put it in the collection drawr.. i dont want my originals scratched etc

another point is that once stealing was when the other person dont have the thing anymore , so copied files are not the case.

once the movie industry said that DVD is gonna kill hollywood. it didnt. its just the fear of new technology..
maybe they will have to enjoy only few milions instead of hundreds of milions , but thats ok no?

im up for it , there is no reason for band like metallica to get rich like 100 milion dollars , lets say enough on 10 milion ok?

all in all if you have your popularity you dont care you have your gigs profits and if not then you bitch like its the downloads made your music not that intresting

as artist i wish my tracks will be downloaded milion times on emule , have milion torrents on evry site , it just meens people care about it and love it...

beside most music i like i have originals again cause i do hear the diffrence in quality

Recomended metirial to watch:

People who download music for free are not the clientele. Sorry, no one is going to make your life easier just because you figured out there is an easier way out, downloading for free. The clientele consists of those who buy cds, or the tracks online. I do not want to cater to people who have no respect in general. Yes, maybe we'll lose out in the end, or maybe you guys will. I have a feeling there just won;t be much of a scene left. Right now alot of underground labels do this out of love and for fun, so some support is required...so if people are just going to disrespect it in this manner, for sure it's going to end...Alot of excellent music this year just wasn't released, and neither is it available for free download..so really at the end of the day, ones who indulge in such downloading are just losing out eventually. People do buy cds, it's not like no one does..that does give one satisfaction and the inclination to keep making them.

That's the opposite of true according to several studies done on the subject...the people who downloads the most is also who buys the most.           (``·.¸(``·.¸(``·.¸¸.·`´)¸.·`´)¸.·`´)

Where is this study? I think it is B.S. For example I download 0% of my msuic illegally, and I spend on average $200-300U.S more a month on buying music compared to all my friens whod ownload it illegally, they simply say "I have it already, why buy it when I know what it sounds like?"

Also, both Psyshop and Saikosounds take Paypal now which allows you to do bot eCheque and direct Cash Transfers from you savings account, so the fact is, the credit card excuse went out 2 yeasr ago, so you can shove that up you dark hole too!

I know my nephew who si only 14! has his ow paypal account without credit, his Dad puts a monthly allowance in his saving and heuses that for online shopping.

If a 14 year old can afford to buy 1-2 cd's a month using Paypal, no excuse motherf#ckers

You are just sad sad bums.

And 4 minute samples on Saikosounds are perfect quality for testing the sound my firends, I hade this confirmed by a mate of mne who is an audio engineer at Virgin Records He said that using qaulity headphones, you can easilty hear from the samples whether the soundis good or not.           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

I'm not opposed to people who buy, and download sometimes..I'm opposed to those who only download and give a myriad of reasons to justify this.           **************************************
