Well, I start this after posting a post in a thread about the rave-o-lution event in Israel ( http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/28083/forum/11/start/30 )

For me, for an event to be called a festival it needs to be:
a. spread over several days, at least 2 full days.
b. variety - preferably a few stages and dancefloors, but if not, at least some balanced variety of music, and not just all full-on (or all progressive)

Just interested, how do you define the difference between a party and a festival??

curious george....

Karnaf, I go by ur definition to the t.
marketing is everything today and so it sounds better to advertise festival!

rather then plainly say party.           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

starbucks sells 3 sizes of coffee -
1. tall = small
2. grande = medium
3. venti (which isnt even a word) = large...

this gives the buyer the illusion that they arent spending too much for a substandard product...

without saying anything about rave-o-lution, hell, i dont even live in israel... this is a common tactic in a mainstream market... trance is there as well.
