What is the trick to GOOD pitch slides?

Trilogy, the slides are horrendous for me if I turn on portamento.
Same thing with Audiorealism Bassline2.
I'd really like to know how to get trilogy's slides to slide strong instead of wimping out half way through, if you know what I mean. If not I can post a sample of what I'm talking about.
And Jizy, yes I know you hate trilogy.

try sylenth,turn off her mono legato next to portimento.. Now inthe mod matrix have velocity-volume ab..(have two slots of the same) now tweak till ya get a pumpin grove ..do the same in the midi clip, play with velocitys between 50-90.
Filter cuttoff o
velocity -cutoff ab (all the way) -modmatrix
filter envelope---decay just under half way..no attk no sustain no realse.
Play with phase to get good click..
Now should be soundin pumpin and flowing
O I forgot to menton amp--adjust decay to tune and don't overlap, maybe sum sustain no release
from what ever velocity - volume mod setting will effect your individual midi velocity in the clip @ 80 first nice round pitch bend .
Elvyata wider boy can emphisize alot .
Sylenth is class for glides.
Use your modmatrix for intersting bassline groves.. For the nice glides turn off the mono lag.
Your notes in clip can have free latch to decide where ya what the juicy glide .
I don't hate trilogy, I just don't think it's all that versitile. Some of the or most of the popular moogs and Juno saw waves require to much extra processing to get it to sound half ok. filters ain't that great either, even reasons nn-19 sampler sounds better than the filters from trilogy.

I will try all of this of course even though it's not Trilogy.
Jizy could you post a sample of what your bass sounds like with elyvata wider boy and without? It's an interesting concept described on their website, but I don't know what it all means to the sound.

yes it s that, it comes from the envelops and not the glide itslef who is perfect imo, it s cause you may use the filter envelop for the snap,a bit like a gate , it means it can t glide well , cause you hear the bassline only when the env filter open(then it s too low to hear something) ), it may be something a bit like that .. or too short amp envelop maybe |
