What is the sense of TOP 10 section?

I don't understand why this forum needs the Top10 section?
Why do u want to know the top10 of someone else? And then if u know it, whats up then? U start emule, search and download it?
I think this section is useless, but i don't care about. Don't misunderstand me, i don't want it to be deleted. I just want to understand who and why is someone interested in the top10 of someone else.
Is it just to know new killa stuff, then why not post ur new killa stuff to promotional?

Since i buy only 10 CDs per years, i can post only once. My lonely top for 2004.
For your question, some Djs intrested in knowing other ppl tastes, some Djs intreasted to show off with unreleased killa music they have got "directly" from GMS, Skazi and Rinkadink...etc, some labels promote their music after release.

people have this subconscious idea that "if everyone else likes it, it must be good." its just easier to read than finding out what they really like. i'd like to think that someone out there has the same taste in music as me and can give me suggestions, but its rare. so i dont even bother with that section anymore.
i gotta admit, i really do like knowing other peoples opinions. i take their opinion as a suggestion. 9 times out of 10, i hate other peoples taste in music.
I guess the original idea was for artists and djs to share what songs really shake the floor, but it has just turned into "Downloading Trance for Dummies." |

Sometimes, you can discover names in there that you would never hear otherwise. I pay special attention to Yossi's Top 10's that bring us something fresh almost every time.

I like to meet people with similar tastes to me, not to trade, just to get an idea of whether there are other people into what I'm into & if so, what are some acts making similar music that I've never heard of before.

I think the top 10 section is very boring. 95% of the top is the same boring music,
alot of top 10 is to show of the unrelssed
music |

whenever i check the the top ten section i always wonder...."do i listen to outdated stuff".....damm everyone out there manages to get "unreleased killers" i used to check it out...when i first joined in here but now days thats one section i dont open too often....
occasionally i check out the top tens of a few artists i really like coz i find it really cool to see their top ten and it is justified if they have "unreleased killers" but normal users....damm its suprising.....

Y not!! I guess noone force anybody to visit all sections of this forum... Is simple as that.
More options, more tastes more ppl and so, different opinions etc... And the story goes on...

I'd like to see people of the psy-world post their Top 10 parties they have been to, top 10 psychedelic movies, psy-trance albums, psy-rock albums, comics, psychedelic lieterature, top 10 albums of 1997, places they have eaten, festivals they have been to, religious experiences, chill out, not just the latest tracks that people are playing/liking/listening to at present, although while useful to see what's coming, can be boring and seem like only traders are interested.

some DJs are interested in what other DJs liked because with so much music to sift through, it'll take me hours just to listen on saikosounds to what new stuff comes out that week.
when i trust someone's taste, i'll go straight to that release. and most "unreleaseds" posted end up getting released within a month or two anyway. great promotional tool and also good way to separate good music from bad.
that's the use of the Top 10 section.
not many artists or DJs are arguing for it to be closed, have you noticed?? mostly people who didn't care about it before anyway.
